How do I join a playgroup? When I click on the "Playgroups" heading at the top of the page, I just get the home page again. Where are the playgroups?

if you click on the heading playgroups in the forum listing, what shows up is the list of playgroup forums.
Playgroup Forum (http://www.calgarymomscommunity.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?s=&daysprune=&f=2161)
Playgroups by Age (http://www.calgarymomscommunity.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=2348)
Area Playgroups (http://www.calgarymomscommunity.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=2200)
if you don't see anything planned, feel free to post something.
see if anyone wants to join you out (parks etc...malls are popular for the smaller babes) or in at your house. :D

Thanks, I think I got it figured out now... Looking forward to going to a playgroup so I can see what it's like, and then I'd be ready to host one!:)

I've only been to play group once and it was awesome. My 10 month old son, Noah, had so much fun and boy was he tired after. I wish I had gotten connected earlier - soon I will be back at work and I will miss play group.

Keep watching the playgroup site. The NW is getting their poop together and we're doing pretty good with getting together a least once a week. Anyone is welcome-it's not exclusive to the NW. We meet at each others homes, parks, indoor play areas and no baby is too young to join in. It's good social learning for all!! See ya on the other side!!

Lonna, has there been any consistent playgroup get-togethers yet for NW areas? - Deena

I have a three month old son and would love to do some play dates and mommy and me classes. We just moved to Auburn Bay and are having a tough time getting to meet new moms in the area as they have cancelled any mommy and me classes at the Auburn House

Like I said, the NW has something going on at least once a week and anyone is invited to join in---once you're a member. We have regulars and new all the time. Just depends on what works for everyone....no one is "in charge" just post and suggest something and see what happens!!

Coffee dates anyone? Also what happend to Jumpin' Java? I used to go there, but after I went back to work I couldn't and now it appears to be closed??!!!
I'd love to meet someone (with or without little ones) for coffee. My kids are generally at the babysitters during the day - but I often take Friday off just to spend time with them - Great day for playdates!

Yes, you will need to pay the $20 membership fee and then you will have access to all the site including playdates, MNO, the rest of the forums etc.
See you on the other side.
